The Internet social offer is a measure to give more individuals or families in a vulnerable situation (on a living wage or other form of financial assistance) access to the internet. We believe everyone deserves access to the online world, regardless of income level or situation.

Who can benefit from the Internet social offer?

For individuals and families with financial constraints, seniors or people with disabilities.

To qualify for the Internet social offer, you must meet certain conditions.


If you receive the minimum integration income, are 65 years or older or have a disability, you may be eligible for the Internet social offer.

You’ll also find all the beneficiaries and corresponding conditions, plus an online tool on the Federal Public Service website.

Questions about Internet social offer

Eligibility for the Internet social offer is determined by specific criteria defined by law, primarily aimed at supporting low-income households, seniors, and people with disabilities. To qualify for the Internet social offer, you (or a family member) must meet specific legally defined conditions. The categories of potential beneficiaries and the conditions of eligibility are defined by law and controlled by the Federal Public Service. We recommend that you use the online tool or check the detailed conditions on the FPS Economy website. You can also contact us for personal guidance.

Please note that the new Internet social offer is only available to persons legally residing in Belgium and having an address in Belgium.

Professionals are not eligible. This also applies to people living in a community (e.g. a retirement home), unless they have a contract drawn up in their own name and for their exclusive use.

First make sure that you (or a member of your household) meet the eligibility requirements. The online tool on the Federal Public Service Economy website allows you to see if are available. You can also find the list of beneficiaries and the relevant conditions on their website.

If you are eligible, then choose the Internet social offer that suits your needs and contact us or visit a Proximus store. Our team will guide you through the process of activating your subscription.

The Internet social offer and the old social tariff are not compatible and cumulative.

The eligibility requirements for the Internet social offer are not identical to the eligibility requirements for the previous version of the social rate (applicable before March 1, 2024). Thus, there is no guarantee of eligibility. You can use the online tool, or check the conditions on the Federal Public Service Economy website. If you qualify, please contact us or visit our store. We will then ensure a smooth transition.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, it is possible for you to change to the Social Internet Offer. If you have a pack with Internet + Mobile + TV it can be that the new social offer is not the best fit for your needs. Changing to new social offer will have an impact on your internet connection, WiFi booster, My e-Press and the multi-mobile discount.

If you decide to subscribe to the new Social Internet offer, you will no longer be able to benefit from the old social rate.

Yes, if you currently have a social internet offer with another provider and would like to switch to Proximus, we're here to welcome. First, you have to check you if you are eligible. Then you'll need to cancel your subscription with your current provider. Easy Switch allows you to switch operators by authorizing Proximus to cease internet & TV services with your current operator. Contact us, and we'll help you make the switch.

If your circumstances change and you no longer meet the eligibility criteria for the Internet social offer, we will receive notification from the Federal Public Service. We will then notify you and give you 3 months to change your price plan. After 3 months, we will automatically transfer you to another price plan that suits your new needs and circumstances.

Our Internet social offer offers a maximum download speed of 30 Mbps, a maximum upload speed of 4 Mbps and a monthly data limit of 150 GB, as determined by law. The Internet social offer + TV also includes these internet specifications, plus additional TV services with more than 80 TV channels. The monthly fees shown and the one-off installation fee (a 50% discount on installation costs is included) are the main costs. There are no hidden charges. However, any additional services or product changes you choose may incur additional charges, which we will clearly communicate to you in advance.

Internet social offer

The conditions of eligibility (including the conditions and procedure for granting, maintaining and withdrawing the offer) and the minimum content of the offer (speeds, volume, maximum prices, minimum discounts, etc.) are defined and may be modified in accordance with current regulations.

The Internet social offer is reserved for beneficiaries who meet the eligibility criteria, determined by specific criteria aimed primarily at supporting low-income households, the elderly and the disabled. Eligibility is checked by the FPS Economy. You can consult the detailed criteria or check your eligibility directly on the FPS Economy website.

The FPS Economy will check every 6 months whether you still meet the eligibility requirements. If you are no longer eligible, you will be notified. After this notification, you will have a maximum of 3 months to choose another price plan. After this period, Proximus will be entitled to suspend the supply of the social internet service.

The Internet social offer and the old social tariff are not compatible and cumulative.

Fixed internet

Fixed Internet volume: Internet volume limited to 150 GB per month. Beyond 150 GB, your speed is limited until the end of the month, unless you purchase an additional 20 GB via Proximus+. More information on www.proximus.be/internetpolicy.

Fixed Internet speed: The indicated maximum speed is a theoretical speed. In practice, it cannot be reached by all customers. The download speed at home depends mainly on the distance between the connection point and the exchange, the availability of the technology, your computer installation and the internal cabling and, in exceptional cases, on general use. These factors must be optimal to enable you to surf at the maximum speed. If you use Wi-Fi, your surfing speed can also be lower. TV & Entertainment

Pickx app for TV customers with a Proximus+ account, for use in Belgium via Proximus Internet (fixed and mobile). Netflix: Service offered by Netflix International B.V.. Proximus offers a technically simplified access to Netflix via the decoder. Disney+: The price of the Disney+ subscription will be included on your Proximus bill. Pickx TV by Proximus provides technically simplified access to Disney+ via the Android TV Box. The Disney TV option and the simplified access are provided throughout the validity period of the contract with Disney and are subject to changes imposed by Disney. The Proximus Terms and Conditions and Pricelist & tariffs apply. Only one subscription per customer. Only for Proximus Pickx TV customers. This action cannot be combined with other Proximus promotions. To use Disney+, a Disney+ account is required. The user must accept Disney+ terms and conditions. Disney+ is an independent data controller of the personal data of Disney+ subscribers. Access to Disney+ is subject to the activation of an account with Disney+ by the customer.
