Fiber to the Home, or FTTH, means that we install the fiber optic cable directly inside your home.
Unlike competitors, our fiber cable runs all the way into your home so you benefit from the exceptional quality of fiber. Some competitors only bring the fiber connection to your door. From there, the connection continues through an older copper or coaxial cable inside the house. These cables cannot reach the speeds of fiber optic, so you do not experience the full quality of fiber in your home.
Placing your fiber box correctly is essential to ensure a stable and high-performance internet connection throughout your home. During the installation, the Proximus technician determines the most suitable location with you, usually choosing a central and open area, close to the modem and a power outlet, to ensure a good distribution of the signal to your devices (Wi-Fi, digital TV, computer, console). It is recommended to avoid basements, garages, or very isolated areas, as well as places surrounded by thick walls or metal structures, as this may limit performance, especially for Wi-Fi. The installer always takes the layout of your home and your usage into account to provide the most efficient and discreet solution possible.
