How did we win these Ookla® and nPerf Speedtest Awards?
Speedtest
According to Ookla®, Proximus fiber had the fastest upload speed in 2025, with an average of 340.74 Mbps for downloads and 273.78 Mbps for uploads. According to nPerf, speed tests carried out via their Speedtest show that, on average, Proximus customers reach download speeds of 208.35 Mbps and upload speeds of 136.45 Mbps during peak hours (18:00 to 23:00).
Browsing test
The nPerf browsing test measures the loading time of the 5 most popular websites in Belgium. With Proximus, 86% of users load all 5 sites in less than 2 seconds. You access information on your screen at unmatched speed.
Stability score
Ookla® awarded Proximus as the most stable internet in Belgium in 2025, as in 92% of tests the minimum download speed was 25 Mbps. This means your downloads remain fast and consistently stable.
Latency
Proximus fiber offers the lowest latency in Belgium, with an average of 16.60 ms according to nPerf and 46 ms according to Ookla®. This means that data exchanges between you and your destination happen almost instantly.
Study methodology via Wi-Fi speed test
nPerf relies on tests performed by users via its app (web and mobile) and applies strict filtering to exclude abnormal results. Performance is evaluated based on speeds, latency, as well as browsing and streaming tests. Results distinguish between peak hours (18:00–23:00) and off-peak hours, and only include operators with more than 5% of tests.
Ookla® Speedtest Awards identify the fastest network using a Speed Score (download/upload speeds and latency under load, calculated across different percentiles) and the most stable internet using the Consistency Score™ (share of tests reaching a minimum speed threshold).
