Independent recognition confirms Proximus as market leader in fiber

For the second year running, independent tests by nPerf and Ookla® confirm what customers experience every day: Proximus' fiber network sets a clear benchmark in Belgium in terms of speed and performance.
As it did in 2024, Proximus delivered the fastest fixed internet performance on the fiber network last year, according to the Ookla® Speedtest Award. The award is based on over 5 million tests of fixed network connections, initiated by users with different providers and performed through different applications.
As well as being the fastest, Proximus is now the country's most stable provider. An impressive consistency score of 92.77 percent indicates a reliability that is so essential for mission-critical cloud applications. The same is true of the measured median download speeds (340.74 Mbps) and upload speeds (223.78 Mbps) on fiber.
nPerf’s Fixed Internet Connections Barometer confirms Proximus' leadership with an award in the Best Fixed Internet Performance category. Proximus scores highest for Wi-Fi performance and ultra-fast connections (with download speeds starting at 100 Mbps). With a latency of 16.60 ms, Proximus is able to ensure the responsiveness needed for real-time operations. An average upload capacity of 136.45 Mbps facilitates videoconferencing and data sharing.
With fiber coverage now reaching 41 percent of the population – 2.5 million Belgian homes – Proximus continues to invest in the digital backbone of the Benelux.
