Proximus Innovation launches its very first product: Amicimi. Amicimi, in Latin translates to ‘my friend’. Forever ready to help. The name is well chose for the application that has been developed: an SOS button connected to your smartphone.

Whoever feels unsafe can alert Securitas with just one touch. Immediately Securitas will receive your precise location. Immediately Securitas can listen in on a live sound recording, useful to judge the gravity of the situation in order to know which emergency service to contact.

Securitas will also call back the caller immediately and when the call is left unanswered, the emergency services are alerted of the alarming situation.

This application suits Proximus perfectly: always close

Thanks to this application one is certain the emergency services will be alerted in time in case of emergency.

Commercial test launch:

Proximus will sell de SOS button at www.proximus.be during 3 months and will be available in these 10 Proximus Centers:

  • As of 23rd March: Wijnegem
  • As of 27th March: Mons Grand Prés
  • As of 7th April:, Anderlecht Westland, Hasselt, Namur, Kortrijk K, Bruxelles City 2, Mechelen, Ninove
  • As of 8th May: Liège Centre
