Take your Proximus devices with you

When you move, don’t forget to take your main Proximus equipment with you. That includes: your Internet Box, any Wi-Fi Boosters, your TV decoder(s), remote(s)and all cables/power supplies.

Questions about your move?

Self-installation is available when your setup allows it. When you submit your moving request, we run a quick technical check based on your address and network configuration. If everything is compatible and your internet can be activated remotely, we will let you know during the process whether the self-installation option is possible.

For a fiber installation, self-installation is only possible if fiber has already been used at that address recently and the fiber equipment is already in place.

If self-installation isn’t possible for your address or product, we will propose installation by a technician instead.

You’ll find info about your move in the Proximus+ app. It’s possible to consult or modify your appointment there.
We will also proactively communicate:

  • Confirmation of your move request via e-mail
  • 2 days before your actual move, we text you
  • 30 minutes before arriving, the technician calls to confirm his visit
  • During the installation, the technician is available for questions

No worries. You can still request your move, but the activation date may need to be adjusted if the current occupant’s Proximus services are still active.

To avoid delays:

  • Make sure the address details you enter match the exact address (street, number, box).
  • Ideally, the current occupant should also request their transfer or cancellation with Proximus.

If the current occupant has not planned their cancellation yet, we may contact you to propose the earliest possible activation date.

It depends on the technical situation at your new address. That’s what determines which products and equipment are possible there.

What you should do:

  • Move first with your current equipment. Once you’re installed, you can check the Wi-Fi and connection quality and see if you need extra equipment (for example, a Wi-Fi Booster).
  • If you do a self-installation, you can check what’s possible for your new address in the Proximus+ app or MyProximus.
  • If a technician installs your services, they will assess the setup on site and confirm if any device swap or extra equipment is needed.

You can always request product changes at any time via the Proximus+ app or MyProximus, independently from your move.

How to switch telecom operators?

To switch to Proximus you only need your Easy Switch ID and your current customer number. We'll take care of everything, from the cancellation request from your previous operator to the complete installation.

Installation:

Self-installation is always free. Installation by a Proximus technician costs €79. Technician installation is free if self-installation isn’t technically possible and a Proximus technician is required, or if a temporary promotion applies to this installation method.

In the case of installation by a technician, the service includes up to 20 meters of cabling. Any additional cabling beyond 20 meters will be charged at €5 per extra meter.
