Collaboration between Google and Huawei

Proximus would like to remind its customers that following a decision of the US department of Commerce, the American enterprise Google is no longer allowed to trade with Huawei
As a consequence, Google will no longer send security and operating system updates for existing Huawei Android devices with Google services.
Huawei stated that they will continue to provide the necessary security updates for the current range of devices (including devices already sold and new in stores). They rely on their own Research & Development capabilities and external open source communities to provide continuous software updates for Huawei smartphones.
Huawei states that the Google Play Store and other smartphone applications will remain accessible for the range of devices that are currently in the Proximus portfolio.
