Possible problems
  • Wi-Fi does not switch off: a Wi-Fi Extender or a PLC bought outside Proximus keeps sending its own Wi-Fi. Unplug the device to stop it.
  • Wi-Fi will not switch back on: turn Wi-Fi off and on again on your phone, tablet or computer. Still not working? Restart your b-box modem: press the button on the back to switch it off, wait about 10 seconds, then switch it on again. Your connection returns after a few minutes.

If needed, the Proximus+ app shows tips to improve your Wi-Fi. This can be one of these messages:

  • "Install a Wi-Fi Booster": the Wi-Fi coverage is weak in the room you are in. A Wi-Fi Booster will help
  • "Bring your devices closer to your b-box or Internet Box": your device is too far from your modem
  • "Disconnect a few devices": too many devices use the Wi-Fi at the same time. Switch some off to improve the quality
  • "An old device slows down your Wi-Fi": connect that device to your b-box or Internet Box with an Ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi

Apple's security rules can hide your iPhone or iPad from the Proximus+ app, so your iOS devices do not appear in the device list. To fix this, turn off the private Wi-Fi address for your home network.

  1. Close the app ;
  2. Go to the Settings on your iPhone;
  3. Go to Wi-Fi . Select the name of your private network (e.g. "Wi-Fi-2.4-XXX");
  4. Unselect Private address. Confirm the deactivation by clicking on Continue;
  5. Open the app.

Your iOS devices now appear in the app, and all features work again.
