At the annual Think NXT event, Sandro Manzo of Proximus NXT and Dirk Luyckx, CTO of Codit team up to look at how organizations can generate value using AI. Learn from the various use cases Proximus implemented for its own operations.

Generative AI has taken the world by storm since the launch of Chat GPT in November 2022. Businesses have been deeply impacted as generative AI has proven to be a productivity booster at all levels of the organization, whether it’s Sales & Marketing, HR, Finance, Customer operations or Production.
However, in the B2B sector, leveraging generative AI to create structural value is challenging. Many organizations lack the necessary skill sets, particularly data scientists and AI algorithm developers. Additionally, they often face difficulties in data exploitation, struggling to structure data to consistently deliver high-quality datasets.
To succeed with generative AI projects, Dirk emphasizes the importance of focusing on data governance (ownership), a flexible data platform, and automation. An AI project begins with data integration: connecting and exposing data. This is followed by engineering, which involves creating a data platform that centralizes various data sources. The next phase is analytics, where data is processed over time, insights are applied to build automated models that can be fed into AI.
Sandro illustrates this is more than a theoretical framework. Proximus has been using generative AI in a pragmatic way for years now. He highlights some of the projects among the hundreds of use cases that were developed across various business units to support operations.
