Proximus+ Accessibility Statement - Android

Proximus, PLC is committed to making its websites and mobile applications accessible, in accordance with the law of 5 November 2023 on accessibility requirements for products and services, transposing Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This accessibility statement applies to the Proximus+ Android app.

Compliance status

This mobile application is partially compliant with the European norm for accessibility, EN 301 549, due to the non-compliances listed below.

  • Headings aren't alway semantically implemented as such in the code.
  • Some elements have an incorrect role semantically, making them harder to use.
  • The application does not support landscape orientation.
  • Some form inputs are missing an autocomplete attribute.
  • Colour is sometimes used as the only visual means of communicating information.
  • Some text and UI components score too low on colour contrast.
  • Some components are not reachable or usable with an external keyboard.
  • Some components trap the keyboard's focus.
  • The focus indicator isn't always visible.
  • Some components require complex gestures to control.
  • Not all visual labels from UI components correspond with their respective programmed labels.

Conformance monitoring and assurance

Proximus, PLC works with external IAAP-certified experts to audit its websites and mobile applications, support the fixing of non-accessible content, and build knowledge and skills throughout our teams. We combine manual and automated testing to spot issues.

This statement was prepared on 4 April 2025 and is based on a third-party assessment. The website was tested by an IAAP certified accessibility specialist at Craftzing.
