PUK or PIN code of your SIM card

You’ve forgotten or lost the PUK or PIN code and you need it to unblock your SIM card? Or you know your PIN code, but you would like to change it? Follow the steps below.

  • I’ve lost my PUK code (8 digits)
  • I’ve lost my PIN code (4 digits)
  • I know and want to change my PIN code

How do you want to find your PUK code?


You can find your PUK code on the SIM card holder you’ve received with your welcome letter. Tip: If there are 2 PUK codes, use PUK1.

You can’t find your PUK code? Find your PUK code via the MyProximus website or your administrator can find it for you via the MyProximus app.

  1. Log in to MyProximus to view your products.
    View your products
  2. Click on your mobile number.
  3. You will now see your PUK code on the left side of the screen.

    Don't see your PUK code? Maybe you're not an administrator in MyProximus.
  4. Enter your PUK code on your mobile phone and choose a new PIN code.

Tip: Don’t confuse the PUK or PIN code of your SIM card with the access code of your mobile phone. If more than 4 digits and less than 8 digits are asked, contact the manufacturer of your device.

Via the MyProximus app


How can you retrieve your PUK code via the app if you have no access to your mobile phone? It's simple! The administrator of your subscription can see all the PUK codes for the mobile subscriptions he manages and find your PUK code for you.

This is what your administrator should do:

  1. Open the MyProximus app.
  2. Tap Products .
  3. Scroll down and tap on the My Mobile card for which you would like to find the PUK code.
  4. Tap My SIM card number and PUK code.
  5. You will now see the PUK code for that number.
    Don't see your PUK code? Maybe you're not an administrator in MyProximus.
  6. Enter the PUK code on the blocked mobile phone and choose a new PIN code.

Tip: Don’t confuse the PUK or PIN code of your SIM card with the access code of your mobile phone. If more than 4 digits and less than 8 digits are asked, contact the manufacturer of your device.

  1. Surf to the contact page.
  2. Click I know my number, enter your mobile number and press OK.
  3. Click Mobile phone lost or stolen? PUK or PIN code lost?.
  4. Click PUK code lost.
  5. Depending on what is requested, enter your customer number or SIM card number and click OK. You will find your customer number on your bill and your SIM card number on the SIM card in your mobile phone.

  6. You will now see your PUK code. Enter it on your mobile phone and choose a new PIN code.

Tip: Don’t confuse the PUK or PIN code of your SIM card with the access code of your mobile phone. If more than 4 digits and less than 8 digits are asked, contact the manufacturer of your device.

Do you want to find your PUK code to choose a new PIN code?


You can find the original PIN code on the SIM card holder you’ve received with your welcome letter.

You can’t find your SIM card holder or you have changed your PIN code? For security reasons, we don't keep your PIN code on record, but you can change it as follows:

  1. Enter the wrong PIN code 3 times.
  2. Enter your PUK code.
  3. You will be asked to choose a new PIN code.

Tip: Don’t confuse the PUK or PIN code of your SIM card with the access code of your mobile phone. If more than 4 digits and less than 8 digits are asked, contact the manufacturer of your device.

Type in the short code on your mobile phone


As long as you know your current PIN code, you can easily change it by typing a short code on your mobile phone.

Type in the short code **04*Old PIN code*New PIN code*New PIN code# on your mobile phone and press the call key.

Instead of Old PIN code, enter your current PIN code and instead of New PIN code, enter your new 4-digit PIN code.

For example: **04*1234*1369*1369#

Don’t forget the new PIN code as you will need it when your restart your device.
