How to connect to a Wi-Fi network?

How do you browse the net on a Wi-Fi network at home or the office? The procedure to connect to a Wi-Fi network depends on your device: mobile, tablet, computer... The next time, your device will automatically connect to this Wi-Fi network.

How do you connect your mobile phone or tablet to the Wi-Fi network?

Android
  1. In the main menu, click Settings > Wi-Fi.
  2. Activate Wi-Fi to search for and display the available Wi-Fi networks.
  3. Select your Wi-Fi network. The name of your Wi-Fi network is indicated on a sticker at the back of your modem, next to the word SSID.
  4. Enter the password of the Wi-Fi network. It is also on the back of your modem, next to the words Wireless key or Passphrase. Click Connect.

Connect to the Wi-Fi without password

Some Android mobiles can connect to wi-fi without password. Select Settings > Wi-Fi and press More> WPS push button (or > Advanced > WPS push button). Press the WPS button b-box 3 wps button or WPS light of your modem.

iOS (iPhone, iPad or iPod)
  1. In the main menu, click Settings > Wi-Fi.
  2. Activate Wi-Fi to search for and display the available Wi-Fi networks.

  3. Checkmark the Connect automatically box if you want your tablet or PC to connect automatically to this Wi-Fi network. Click the Connect button.
  4. There are 2 possibilities:
    • Press your modem’s WPS button b-box 3 wps button or WPS lightfor two seconds. It will flash. The connection between your PC and modem is established automatically.
    • Enter the password of the Wi-Fi network. It is also on the back of your modem, next to the words Wireless key or Passphrase. Click Next.

Windows 8 and Windows 8.1
