To fully enjoy Wi-Fi 7, you need compatible devices: 

• Recent devices (computers, smartphones, tablets, etc.) take full advantage of Wi-Fi 7 performance. 
• Older devices will still work, but without reaching maximum speeds. 

Wi-Fi 7 is currently available only for Flex+ Ultra Fiber customers: 

• New Ultra Fiber customers: you’ll automatically receive the new Internet Box+ with Wi-Fi 7 during installation. 
• Existing Ultra Fiber customers: if you already have an Internet Box+ with Wi-Fi 6E, you can request a free upgrade to Wi-Fi 7 starting in early 2026.

Yes, but to get the best performance, we recommend using the new Wi-Fi Boosters+, optimized for Wi-Fi 7. 

They will still connect to the network, but only at the maximum speed supported by their own Wi-Fi generation.

Yes. All our Internet Boxes include WPA3-Personal, the most advanced Wi-Fi security protocol, enabled by default: 

• Provides enhanced protection for modern devices (WPA3 compatible). 
• And remains compatible with older devices (WPA2). 

You benefit from optimal and consistent security, regardless of your device generation. 

• Guides you step by step during installation; 
• Displays your Wi-Fi credentials directly on the Box, so you can connect devices easily without searching elsewhere. 
• Simplifies network management without apps or complicated manuals. 

Result: a more intuitive experience and time saved. 

Several scenarios can occur:

• If you switch from bbox3 to the Internet Box, and unless you have previously saved your Wi-Fi credentials in the Proximus+ app, we will use the default credentials of your bbox3.
• If you become a Flex+ Giga or Ultra Fiber customer and thus switch from the Internet Box to the Internet Box+, your Wi-Fi credentials remain unchanged, and all your devices will reconnect smoothly.

Wi-Fi 6E is still available for customers with an Internet Box+ and a Giga Fiber subscription.

We now focus on Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7, which power most of our new offers.

If you are a Flex+ Giga Fiber customer, you continue to enjoy Wi-Fi 6E, which already delivers excellent performance thanks to the 6 GHz band.

The upgrade to Wi-Fi 7 is planned soon for Giga Fiber customers, so you can benefit from the latest innovations as soon as they are available.

Currently, Flex+ Giga Fiber customers enjoy Wi-Fi 6E with the Internet Box+:

Yes. Log in to the Proximus+ app and switch to the Internet Box to enjoy Wi-Fi 6:

• Free if you have a Flex+ (copper) pack with enhanced Internet experience.
• €49 for other internet products (e.g., standalone Internet).

This can only be done via the app, not through MyProximus web.

After receiving your new Internet Box, you’ll get a return label to send back your old modem. We’ll give it a second life!  If you don’t return it within the deadline, fees will apply.
