Fiber facilitates homeworking at Belloy Elektrotechniek

"When we heard that fiber was available here, we contacted Proximus," says Dirk Van Den Broeck of Belloy Elektrotechniek. "We used to have a normal copper line here and fiber is clearly much faster and more stable. "We have a fairly extensive range of PCs here. All those machines need an Internet connection and this makes that work much easier."

Fiber also brought more benefits with it, although the company may not at first have expected them. “Fiber has been particularly useful in facilitating working from home during the Covid pandemic,” Dirk says. "That meant our staff could log into our server from home without any problems. Often it was with thirteen or fourteen people at a time and it always went without a hitch."

A final word: Belloy is a pure B2B company, so it does not have its own webshop hosting or a portal to order things. "But despite this, the choice for fiber has more than once proved to be the right one," Dirk concludes.
