Opensignal names Proximus the best mobile network in Belgium

In its latest report, Opensignal recognizes Proximus’s mobile network as the best in Belgium. Proximus ranks highest in 12 of the 15 categories measured by Opensignal, including overall experience, 5G performance, and consistency.
The independent research firm Opensignal recently published its latest Mobile Network Experience report for March 2026 on mobile internet in Belgium. Mobile Experience Awards are presented to the mobile network that offers the best mobile experience in fifteen categories. The categories are divided into four areas: overall experience, 5G experience, coverage, and consistency.
Proximus wins in 12 of the 15 categories
Proximus came out on top in 12 of the 15 categories, spanning all four areas. According to Opensignal, this makes the telecom operator the country’s best mobile network, with the fastest 5G connection.
Opensignal does not base its awards on theoretical peak speeds. It measures the user experience in practice, based on measurements taken between October 1 and December 29, 2025. The fact that Proximus tops all categories in "overall experience" shows that Proximus users really do enjoy the smoothest video streaming and the fastest download speeds.
Proximus also swept all the Mobile Experience Awards in the areas of consistency and 5G experience. So Proximus’s investments in 5G are delivering tangible benefits: low latency, high throughput, and reliable performance for modern applications.
The fact that Proximus also took all the awards in the area of consistency means that the telecom operator’s mobile network offers a stable experience over time. That is an essential requirement for business applications.
Opensignal is an independent analytics company that tracks the performance of mobile networks worldwide. It bases its findings on billions of measurements collected via users’ smartphones.
