Is my Wi-Fi network secure?

This week, various articles in the press revealed a Wi-Fi network vulnerability. We have carefully analysed the issue and today we can confirm that the modems we market (bbox 2 and 3) are not vulnerable.

With regard to the modems marketed to our corporate customers, we can confirm that, in the vast majority of cases, the Wi-Fi functionality recently called into question has never been activated. Only a few customers have activated it and Proximus is contacting them so that they can take appropriate action with the vendor of the devices concerned.

Even so, your personal devices are also affected, so make sure you update them properly as soon as the respective updates (Android, iOS, Microsoft, etc.) become available.

As a reminder, surfing in 3G/4G on your mobile devices or using a network cable on your fixed installation obviously also remains safe.
