Confirming your MyProximus login with an SMS code

To securely log in to your MyProximus account with your username (email) and password, you also need a numeric code that you will receive by SMS.

This procedure applies:

  • to log in to MyProximus on the website
  • to log in to the Proximus+ app with your MyProximus credentials instead of itsme
  • to access your account(s) in the Proximus+ app (if you are prompted to log in there)

What do you need?

  • The username (e-mail address) and password of your MyProximus account
  • Access to your mobile with a Belgian number and e-mail.

Proceed as follows

  1. In the above situations, log in to MyProximus. Enter your username (e-mail) and password.
  2. You will see a message that a code has been sent to your mobile number. Some numbers have been replaced with asterisks for added safety.
  3. Did you receive an SMS from the number 8883?
    • Yes: go to step 7.
    • No: Make sure your mobile is on and connected to the mobile network. Allow SMS from 8883 on your device ( AndroidOpens a new window or AppleOpens a new window ). Go back to step 3.
    • No, because the mobile number is not correct or because I don't have a Belgian mobile number (anymore). Go to step 4.
  4. Click on I want to change my mobile number.
    • If you have a Belgian mobile number, fiirst change your password for MyProximus and then enter the correct Belgian mobile number. Click OK, reset my account. go to step 5.
    • If you don't have a Belgian mobile number, send an e-mail to customer.care@proximus.be from the e-mail address (user name) linked to your MyProximus account. Include your first and last name, your customer numberOpens a new window , and your date of birth. Within 3 working days, we provide you secure accessOpens a new window to MyProximus via Multifactor Authentication.
  5. You will receive an e-mail with a link. Choose a new password (at least 8 characters, at least 4 letters and 1 number). You will automatically be logged in.
  6. Enter your correct Belgian mobile number. Click Save, enter the verification code received by SMS and confirm. Go back to step 1.
  7. Enter the verification code (6 digits) you received by SMS within 15 minutes and confirm.
  8. You now have secure access to MyProximus. If you log out on the website or in the Proximus+ app, you need to start again at step 1.
