Have you received an e-mail that appears to have come from Proximus? Check to make sure that it's not a phishing e-mail.
Take the usual precautions:
- We will never ask you for your login, password or other confidential information by e-mail.
- Carefully check the e-mail sending address. We send you messages only from an address that ends with @proximus.com.
- Move your mouse over the link indicated in the e-mail without clicking. . The e-mail's destination address will appear. You will then see whether it directs you to a Proximus site. If it doesn’t, it's probably a phishing e-mail.
- Phishing e-mails often contain spelling and grammatical errors.
- Insofar as is possible, we detect suspicious e-mails. When we do so, we automatically add a warning message at the top of the e-mail. The anti-virus programs and e-mail services will also warn you if they detect a phishing e-mail.
Attention: we cannot guarantee that all suspicous e-mails will be identified.
NB: Note: Have you already received such an e-mail with a warning message but are certain that the e-mail is trustworthy? Send a copy of this e-mail to abuse@proximus.com so we can adapt our filters. Add the e-mail in question as an attachment and mention "OF FP" in the subject of your message.
