Change or cancel a subscription linked to a device

Did you choose a mobile phone when you took out a subscription? Usually, you can change your rate plan afterwards. But you can't change your DataPhone option. If you cancel your contract, you have to pay back the residual value of your mobile phone.

You chose a mobile phone with a discount before 18 April 2017
  • Can you switch to a different rate plan?

    You can change your rate plan for free, provided the new rate plan also has a discount on a mobile phone and the monthly fee is not lower than that of your current rate plan.

    If any of these conditions are not met, you will have to reimburse Proximus for the residual value of the mobile phone, in accordance with the conditions set out in the amortization table which you signed along with your contract.

    It is best to contact our customer service if you are thinking of switching rate plans.

  • Can you cancel your rate plan?

    You can terminate your subscription at any time.

    In that case, you will have to reimburse Proximus for the residual value of your mobile phone. The exact amount to be paid is indicated in the amortization table table which you signed along with your contract

  • Can you switch to a different rate plan?

    You can switch to a compatible rate plan for free, even if the monthly fee is lower than that of your current rate plan.

    If any of these conditions are not met, you will have to reimburse Proximus for the residual value of your mobile phone, in accordance with the conditions set out the amortization table which you signed along with your contract.

    It is best to contact our customer service if you are thinking of changing rate plans.

  • Can you switch to a different DataPhone option?

    You cannot change your DataPhone option.

    If you would like another device, you can terminate your existing DataPhone option and take a new offer. In that case, you will have to reimburse Proximus for the residual value of your mobile phone. The exact amount to be paid is indicated in the amortization table which you signed along with your contract. After that, you can opt in for the new DataPhone option of your choice. Your rate plan will simply be retained, with a new term of 24 months.

  • Can you cancel your rate plan or DataPhone option?

    The DataPhone option is always linked to your mobile subscription. You cannot have it seperately.
    You can terminate your mobile subscription at any time. By cancelling your subscription, you will also automatically cancel your DataPhone option.

    In that case, you will have to reimburse Proximus for the residual value of your mobile phone. The exact amount to be paid is indicated in the amortization table which you signed along with your contract.

    Please note! If you terminate your DataPhone option (or if it automatically expires after 24 months), you will no longer have access to the data linked to that option.
