Pay for apps, games or music tracks via Proximus

Want to buy apps, games, films, music, or books for your mobile or tablet? Paying is easy via Proximus: via your bill, your payment statement or your Pay&Go credit!

Choose your shop and proceed as follows:

Apple Music and App Store

To pay for purchases in the App Store, Apple Music or iTunes via Proximus, you need:

  • Your Proximus mobile number.
  • To be logged in with your Apple ID to the App Store, Apple Music or iTunes.

How do you make a purchase via Proximus?

  1. Open the App Store, Apple Music or iTunes Store app on your iOS device. Or click here and go to step 4.
  2. Scroll down and tap your Apple ID.
  3. Tap View Apple ID. If prompted, enter your password or use Touch ID.
  4. Tap Payment Information and select Mobile Phone.
  5. Check if your mobile number is correct, select Use This Mobile Number, and tap Next. Then go to step 8.
  6. If the number is incorrect, missing, or you want to use a different number, enter your Proximus mobile number.
  7. Then enter the code you receive by SMS message, and tap Verify.
  8. Paying via Proximus is now set as default.

You can now pay via Proximus on all your devices which are linked to your Apple ID (your computer, smartphone, and tablet, with or without a SIM card). View your purchases in the MyProximus app (My Usage>My mobile payments) or via the MyProximus website under Pay-for calls, pay-for text messages and services by third parties. You will also receive information from Apple about your purchases and can see your purchase history via your iTunes account.

Play Store

Play Store

Go to Google Play Store on your Android smartphone with a Proximus SIM card and with one purchase, activate Proximus as the payment method. "Pay via my Proximus account" will subsequently appear automatically.

How do you make a purchase via Proximus?

Make a purchase in Play Store to activate your Proximus bill, Proximus payment statement or Pay&Go card.  Keep your Google account details on hand. If you have a tablet, it must have a SIM card and be able to receive text messages.

  1. Open Play Store on your Android smartphone and choose the app, music track, game, etc. you want to buy.
  2. Tap on the price and, in case of an app, tap on Accept.
  3. Tap on "Activate billing via Proximus". If you don’t see this option, tap the arrow next to the name of the app. This way you open Payment Methods. There, select "Activate billing via Proximus”.
  4. Enter your mobile phone number, last name and first name. Click Send.
  5. Enter your Google password.
  6. To confirm the activation, you will receive a free text message from the number 8120 and an e-mail from Google Play.
  7. Your purchased app, game, film, music track or book will download. Payment via Proximus is now set as default in Play Store.

You can pay via Proximus on all the devices (PC, smartphone, tablet with or without SIM) linked to your Play Store account. View your purchases in the MyProximus app (My Usage>My mobile payments) or via the MyProximus website under Pay-for numbers, pay-for text messages and third-party services. You will also receive e-mails from Play Store and obtain access to an account page.

Are you unable to make purchases?

Don't see Pay via my Proximus account mentioned anywhere? Determine which of these situations applies to you:

  • Is another payment method set as default? Follow the procedure as described above.
  • Have you completely deactivated payment with your mobile? Activate this possibility again by changing the limit for your mobile payments).

Do you see Pay via my Proximus account but can't make any purchases? Various limits apply:

Microsoft Store

Microsoft Store

To pay for purchases in Microsoft Store via Proximus, you need:

  • either a Windows Phone with a Proximus SIM card,
  • or a PC or tablet with Windows 10, and a mobile phone with a Proximus SIM card.
 

How do you make a purchase via Proximus?

  1. Open Microsoft Store on your Windows Phone, PC or tablet.
  2. Choose the app, game, film, music track or e-book you wish to buy.
  3. Are you using Windows Phone? Tap Purchase and the Proximus logo and name will automatically appear. Tap Purchase. Go to Step 6.
  4. Are you using a PC or tablet? Click on the amount. If required, enter your Microsoft Store password.
  5. Then click Pick a payment method. Select Mobile Phone. Choose Proximus and type in your Proximus mobile number. Then enter the code you received by text message.
  6. Your purchased app, game, film, track or book will be downloaded. Payment via Proximus is now set as default in Microsoft Store.

  • Is another payment method set as default? Tap on Add or change payment methods and add Proximus.

It is not possible to pay via Proximus for apps, music, games, etc. for your Samsung.
