Questions about Netflix on your TV

In January Proximus will inform its customers about the price increase of their subscription by e-mail or letter. Netflix will also inform its subscribers by e-mail and with a notification on the platform interface between 30 January 2020 and 29 February 2020, depending on their billing cycle. The price increase will be effective from the anniversary of your subscription in March (so between 1 March 2020 and 31 March 2020) and will also be visible on your Proximus invoice of March.

  • Your Netflix subscription is not paid per calendar month, but for a one-month period, starting on the day of the month your subscription began.
  • Your Netflix subscription plan (SD, HD or Ultra HD) is incorrect? Consult the Netflix help website.
  • Netflix is included in your pack as a TV bundle, but you don't see the discount for your TV bundle? This discount is not mentioned under Netflix in the Third-party services section, but under your Proximus subscriptions. In the first month that you selected Netflix as a TV bundle, this discount may be lower because your TV bundle started during the course of the month.

Warning: If you have Flex Netflix, Tuttimus Netflix or Familus Netflix, both Netflix and the discount will appear on your bill under your Proximus subscriptions.


  • If you watch Netflix on Proximus TV via your own Wi-Fi connection or a Public Wi-Fi hotspot, you will use the data of your fixed Internet.
  • If you watch Netflix on your tablet or mobile phone via mobile data (5G, 4G or 3G), you will use the data of your mobile subscription.
  • When you watch Netflix for one hour, you use about 1 GB/hr. in SD, up to 3 GB/hr. in HD, and up to 7 GB/hr. in Ultra HD.
  • We advise you to regularly consult your usage, for your fixed connection and especially your mobile data.
  • If you exceed your data allowance, watching Netflix may become more difficult and you could be charged extra too. But you can request extra data.

You must delete cookies:

  1. Press  on your remote control.
  2. Follow the instructions according to your TV menu:

    Go to Mon compte > Paramètres > Cookies > Oui > Continuer (in French) or to Mijn account > Instellingen > Cookies > Ja > Verdergaan (in Dutch). 
    Cookies are now deleted. Return to channel 57.

    Go to Paramètres> Système > Confidentialité / Sécurité > Gérer les cookies > Oui > Continuer (in French) or to Instellingen > Systeem > Confidentialiteit/Veiligheid > Cookies beheren > Ja > Verdergaan.

You want to watch Netflix in UHD on your TV? You must have this decoder (see below), a UHD compatible TV, the appropriate Netflix subscription and sufficient connection speed. Check on Netflix if you can  watch Netflix in UHD.

You have to cancel your Netflix account, otherwise your payment via Proximus will continue. After that, you can deactivate Netflix on MyProximus.

Warning: Do you have one of the packs  Flex Netflix, Tuttimus Netflix or Familus Netflix and you no longer want Netflix in your pack? Go to MyProximus to change your pack.

You don't want Netflix as a TV Bonus anymore? You must first cancel your Netflix account, otherwise you will continue to pay it on your Proximus bill. Then you can deactivate or modify your TV Bonus via MyProximus app or web.

You subscribed to Netflix with your credit card before you subscribed to a Proximus option: Netflix / All Stars / All Stars and Sports / Flex Netflix / Tuttimus Netflix/Familus Netflix at Proximus. Your payment with Netflix will be automatically reactivated.
Was your Netflix account subscribed via Proximus? You will have to choose a new payment method with Netflix.

If you subscribed to a Netflix account with payment by credit card before subscribing to an All Stars / All Stars and Sports option at Proximus; be aware that if you stop your All Stars / All Stars and Sports option, Netflix will automatically reactivate your payment by credit card.
