Connect your TV Box to your audio system

Audio systems can be connected to the TV Box with an HDMI cable or an optical cable (S/PDIF).

It may also be possible to connect your audio system (headphones, earphones for example) directly to the TV Box, depending on the TV Box model.

In general, audio systems are connected to the TV Box via an HDMI cable or an optical cable (S/PDIF).

You can us a converter, available in electronics stores, if your audio systems are compatible only with mini jack or RCA/cinch connectors.

You can also use Bluetooth to connect your audio system to the TV Box to watch streaming programs (recordings, replay, video on demand, applications). Note: Bluetooth doesn’t currently work for Proximus TV live programs.

In general, audio systems are connected to the TV Box via an HDMI cable or an optical cable (S/PDIF).

There is also a mini jack connection available at the back of the TV Box. By default, most wired headsets come with a mini jack plug.

In general, audio systems are connected to the TV Box via an HDMI cable or an optical cable (S/PDIF).


There is also a mini SCART connection (9-pin mini-DIN) available at the back of the TV Box. An adapter is required to connect the TV Box to a stereo system, to go from the mini SCART/SCART to the analog RCA/cinch (male) connections (red-white cable). These adapters are for sale in Proximus Centers. To connect headphones with jack/mini jack directly, an additional adapter is required to go from the RCA/cinch (female) to the (mini) jack (female).

Analog RCA/cinch (female) connections are also available at the back of the TV Box. A SCART connection is available for older equipment. For headphones with a jack/mini jack connector, an additional cable from the RCA to the (mini) jack is required.
