:60 Seconds With Hey Violet Hey Violet is a new band with a long history. Singer Rena Lovelis, guitarist Miranda Miller, and drummer Nia Lovelis joined forces in middle school to form the all-female Cherri Bomb, which released an album in 2012 and opened for the likes of Foo Fighters and Smashing Pumpkins. After some personnel and stylistic changes, they re-emerged as Hey Violet (adding guitarist Casey Moreta and bassist Iain Shipp). In 2015 they signed with 5 Seconds of Summer's label, Hi Or Hey Records, and dropped the killer “This Is Why.” Since then they've toured the world with 5SOS and have made a mark with “Break My Heart,” “Guys My Age," and “Hoodie,” which can all be found on their just-released album, 'From The Outside.' In our ':60 With' session with the quintet talked about mom jeans, boogers vs farts, and their favorite swear word.
