How to activate Netflix?

Activate Netflix on your decoder and start watching directly on your TV. Enjoy a €2 discount on your Tuttimus or Familus pack when you choose Netflix as first TV bonus! Follow these easy steps and enjoy the Netflix experience now on all your devices!

If you already have a Netflix account you might be asked to cancel and reactive it. This will only be the case if you want it on your Proximus payment statement and this is not yet done.

Go to Netflix.com and cancel your current account and watch Netflix until your subscription has ended

Press the blue button on your remote control and choose Netflix

Follow the steps on the screen and update your decoder if necessary

Start Netflix on channel 204. Click on "Get Started"

Select "Sign up" and create your Netflix account

Choose your Netflix streaming plan

Choose Proximus as payment method

Enter your PIN code for Proximus TV

Approve the "Terms of Use" to activate Netflix. Your Netflix subscription will appear on your next Proximus payment statement

You want to activate Netflix on your decoder and keep your existing payment method?

Follow the next steps and you're good to go!

Go to channel 204 and press the "OK" button on your remote control to start Netflix

Click 'Sign in'

Enter your Netflix e-mail address and password. You're good to go!

Is it possible to pay for Netflix via my Proximus bill or payment statement?

Absolutely! To include your subscription in your Proximus bill or payment statement, select Proximus as the payment method via your decoder. Your billing eligibility will be determined by Proximus. 

Your Netflix subscription will be included in your next bill or payment statement. 

You can verify your payment method on www.netflix.com/youraccount in the billing section.

Netflix appears on my bill at the full price. I thought it was included in my pack!

You need the pack that corresponds to that TV bundle (Familus L, Tuttimus, Bizz Office or All-in with TV).

The Netflix discount option should appear under TV. 

The discount doesn't appear under “Services provided by third parties”, but under “Pack”, like all other favorite TV bundles.

Can I change my Netflix payment method?

You can only do this by stopping your current Netflix subscription. Once the current subscription period has ended, you will be able to register again on www.netflix.com and choose your payment method. NB: you can only choose Proximus as a payment method via the decoder! When you register again (with the same e-mail address and password) you keep the history of your current profile.

Which Netflix subscription is offered as a TV bundle, and how can I change or cancel it?

The Netflix subscription offered by default as a TV bundle is the plan valid for 2 screens at a time in high definition (HD) for €9.99.  

You can at opt for a Netflix plan valid for 4 screens in Ultra HD at €11.99, or for 1 screen in standard definition (SD) at €7.99, at any time by visiting www.netflix.com/youraccount. 

To cancel your subscription, also visit www.netflix.com/youraccount.

How do I activate/cancel Netflix as a TV bundle?

In certain packs, Netflix is available as a TV bundle. This means you can decide to install Netflix and make it your favorite TV bundle! 

If you no longer want Netflix as a TV bundle, you must first cancel your Netflix subscription on www.netflix.com/youraccount. If you don't, Netflix will continue to appear on your Proximus bill or payment statement. Proximus cannot cancel your Netflix subscription for you. Once you have done this, you'll be able to choose your new TV bundle on our site, www.proximus.be/tuttimus, via your MyProximus account, by calling 0800 33 800, or by visiting a Proximus Center. 

You can change your TV bundle no more than twice a year!

What impact does watching Netflix have on my Internet usage?

Whether you watch Netflix via Proximus TV, on your computer, or via the app on your mobile device, you’re always using the Internet volume of your subscription. When you watch Netflix, you use about 1 GB of data per hour by video stream in standard definition (SD), and up to 3 GB per hour by video stream in high definition (HD). You can also reduce the amount of bandwidth used when you watch Netflix by adjusting the data usage settings in your Netflix account. 

If you watch Netflix on Proximus TV or on your computer or tablet (via your fixed Internet connection, your own Wi-Fi connection, or a Wi-Fi Hotspot) you can check your usage via the MyProximus site. If necessary, you can opt for a subscription with more data. 

If you watch Netflix via a mobile Internet connection (3G or 4G), you can check your usage via the MyProximus app. If necessary, you can opt for a subscription with more data. 

How can I watch Netflix via my decoder?

You need a Proximus Internet subscription and a Proximus TV subscription. You then simply follow Netflix installation procedure via your TV menu and can watch Netflix on channel 204 of Proximus TV.

Netflix is charged fully on my bill, but I only receive part of the discount on the Pack. Why?

Proximus always bills per calendar month. If you activated Netflix in the middle of the month, you will receive a pro-rata charge. 

Netflix always bills for a period of one month, for 31 days after the activation date. There is no pro rata.

Content offer to be chosen from a list defined by Proximus (it is possible to change 2x/year). Proximus may change the offering subject to giving two months' notice. Netflix : Where Netflix is added as favorite TV bonus, the price of the Familus L or Tuttimus pack is an extra €0.04 per month. To add Netflix as favorite TV bonus, you must (re)activate your Netflix streaming subscription (also if you are an existing Netflix subscriber) by following the instructions set out on our website www.proximus.be/iwantnetflix.  

When you choose to include Netflix in your pack, the Netflix subscription fee (currently € 9.99  per month for the Netflix Standard subscription with 2 concurrent streams) will be included in your Proximus bill/invitation to pay. The Netflix subscription is separately cancellable at any time. A Netflix compatible device (Proximus TV offers technically simplified access to Netflix via the decoder) and broadband Internet connection are required to watch Netflix instantly. Netflix price plans subject to change. For all details on the generic conditions of Netflix see www.netflix.com/termsofuse. It is possible to sign up until 15 September 2017. Proximus reserves its right to prolong the offer or stop it before.
