Adapt your iPhone or iPad settings before March 15, 2019

Before March 15, 2019 you need to adapt your iPhone or iPad settings to continue to receive your e-mails on your mobile device. We are doing an update of the Proximus Mail system to better protect your online privacy.

This is only applicable if your e-mail account is set up as a POP account: you can check this in step 4. If your e-mail account is set up as an IMAP account, you do not need to make any changes. If you are receiving e-mails on different devices or you have more than one e-mail account, please check on each device for every e-mail account if it is set up correctly.

Follow these steps to adapt your settings:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Scroll down and tap Accounts & Passwords.

    Tap Accounts & Passwords.
  3. Tap on your e-mail account, in this example "demo apop".

    Tap on your account.
  4. Tap Advanced.

    Tap Advanced.
  5. Tap Authentication.

    Tap Authentication.
  6. Tap Password.

    Tap Password.
  7. Tap on Passwords & Account....

    Check Password and tap Advanced.
  8. Enable Use SSL. Check if the Server Port is 995.

  9. Tap Done.


You have now made the necessary changes to continue receiving e-mail.
