What is the installation procedure?

We start by laying our fiber cable in your street and then bring it into your building. One of our technicians will come to install a connection point in your building and you're good to go! All you have to do then is to take out a fiber subscription with us. From then on you'll be able to surf, watch content in streaming and work at the speed of light.

Is a fiber connection really completely free of charge?

Yes, you don't pay anything for your fiber connection. During the works in your neighborhood the installation is free of charge, whether or not you're a customer of ours, and without any obligation to purchase.

I'm interested in getting fiber for my business. What should I do?

Want to bring fiber into your business? Then follow these steps:

1. Check to see whether fiber is available for your business.

  • If it is, you will be invited to request your connection to our fiber network and activate your products. Follow the instructions on our website and make an appointment.
  • Is fiber not yet available for your business, but is Proximus planning to install it? In that case, fill in the form so one of our staff members can contact you by phone as soon as possible to give you more information as to when the installation is likely to take place. Just before the works in your neighborhood are due to begin, we will call you to schedule an appointment.

Appointments made are always confirmed by email and can be viewed or changed later via the personal link in that email. Any cancellation of an appointment can only be done by calling 0800 33 007.

2. We will connect your business to our fiber network. The fiber connection is free of charge while works are being carried out in your street. After the works have finished, it's still possible to have fiber installed but you may be charged extra costs for this. By having such a connection installed you know for sure that your home is ready for the future.

3. The final step is the activation of your fiber products. For more information about our products and promos, call us at 0800 33 007, make an appointment with a Bizz Expert in a Proximus Center near you or fill out our form so that a Bizz Expert will call you back within two hours.

Why can't my business be connected to the fiber network?

With our address checker, you can see whether you can get fiber into your business. We are rolling out fiber in stages, so it is possible that your address is not in the area where we are currently providing fiber. It is also possible that your business is located in a fiber area but we cannot roll out fiber to your building because of technical or administrative reasons (e.g. no authorization from the syndic, no license, etc.). Therefore, call us at 0800 33 007, make an appointment with a Bizz Expert in a Proximus Center near you or fill out our form so that a Bizz Expert will call you back within two hours.

How can I view, change or cancel my appointment for the installation of fiber?

If your business in a new building is being constructed by a property developer and fiber is available for your building when the work is being carried out, the property developer will request the fiber connection. I’m building a new building for my business with an architect. How can I connect it to the fiber network?

If you are building with an architect, check to see whether fiber is available for your building. If it is, don't forget to request the fiber connection before you can go on to activate your products. Why can't my business be connected to the fiber network?

Check to see whether Proximus is planning to install fiber in your street. The fiber roll-out is taking place in different stages. It is therefore possible that your address is not (yet) part of an area in which works are scheduled.

Check to see whether fiber is available for your business or whether your address is located in an area in which works are planned. In case of the former, you will be invited to activate your fiber products. What do I need to benefit from the advantages linked to optical fiber if my company is located in a business park?

First check to see whether your company is located in an area where fiber is available. If it is, you will then need two things:

  • A fiber connection point must be installed inside your company premises.
  • Your fiber products must be activated.
Are fiber products more expensive than traditional copper products? Should I expect migration or installation charges?

No. Our Bizz All-In and Bizz Office Fiber packs are at the same price level as our Bizz All-In and Bizz Office packs, the equivalent products on the copper network. The installation, migration and works on the street are free of charge (up to a maximum of 50 m between the fiber connection point and your building), for any activation of a fiber product and provided the technical requirements are met. The offer is valid for three months as from when the initial offer is sent.

When will my business be connected to the fiber network?

You can decide to have your company connected to our fiber network as soon as fiber is available or is due to become available in the immediate future for your business. However, note that the start of work in an industrial park and all the formalities required (site study, permit, etc.) may take several months. Your fiber products can only be activated once those activities have been completed. If you don't want fiber, nothing changes for you: you will simply continue to use your current Proximus products like you do today. You can still obtain access to fiber later on but the installation of your connection point can then no longer be guaranteed.

I'm interested in getting fiber for my business. What should I do?

Check to see whether fiber is available for your address. If it is, fill in our form in order to be contacted by one of our staff as soon as possible. He or she will invite you to make an appointment to connect your company to our fiber network and activate your fiber products. If fiber is not yet available for your address but Proximus is planning to lay fiber in your street, fill in our form in order to be contacted by one of our staff members to discuss the next steps. Finally, given that we are rolling out fiber in several phases, your company may be located in an area where works have not yet been planned or in an area in which we are unable to install fiber for technical or administrative reasons.
