Fiber is the technology of the future. The fiber cables transmit data over long distances at the speed of light and thus offer many advantages, including an ultra-fast and much more stable Internet connection than with traditional copper cables.

Proximus is therefore modernising its network by gradually replacing these copper cables by fiber cables. And unlike most other operators who stop at the street, Proximus is installing fiber right into your home, to ensure the best possible performance now and in the future. In the long term, our copper network will be completely replaced by this new technology.

Your fiber connection is completely free of charge for every activation of a Fiber pack, whether you are an existing Proximus customer or not. If you opt for another fiber product outside the pack, for example Internet Fiber, a fee of € 59 will be charged for a new installation.

You will continue to have your current connection, without change. However, you should know that the current Proximus copper network will eventually have to be replaced by fiber.

To be able to benefit from fiber as soon as it becomes available in your city, whether you are already a Proximus customer or not, your pack must be compatible with Proximus fiber. You need a fiber compatible product/pack to be on the fiber network.

It all depends on your current pack, your options... and the pack you choose. In addition, you will receive a promotion of €120 (€10 for 12 months) when you activate your fiber pack.

No, you can always change or cancel your application at any time and free of charge. You are also always free to choose another operator for fiber.

The network builder Fiberklaar will start by installing the fiber in the streets. This phase will take several months. Then, Fiberklaar will contact you to see where to connect your home to the fiber. After that, an appointment will be made to install the fiber arrival point at your home. Once this is done, a Proximus technician will contact you to install the equipment (modem,..) and activate your services. He will check that everything is working and will test the wifi in your different rooms. From that moment on, you will be able to benefit from ultra-fast and stable Internet thanks to the fiber.

If you benefit from a joint offer (mobile subscription + smartphone), you will keep your promotion (the conditions and number of products must remain the same). Yes, connection to the network and the installation of fiber are free of charge, with any activation of a Fiber Pack. In industrial zones, connection is also included for up to a maximum installation fee of €1.550 excl. VAT per customer. An estimate will be drawn up for any amount over €1.550 and you will be free to accept it or not.

During the product configuration, you can choose the installation date yourself. The installation date depends on your selected products, the products you already have and the availability of our technicians. Expect and average waiting time of about 14 calendar days.

Yes, you can keep enjoying your Android TV box without any extra charges if you choose an Apple TV 4K 128GB, but make sure you do not throw it away. If you no longer require your Android TV box, please get in touch with one of our agents who will be able to assist you with the return process.

You can cancel your pre-order at any time and free of charge via our customer service. Guaranteed repair of internet, telephone line and TV on the day if you call before 5 p.m. on a working day or before 1 p.m. on a Saturday. If the recovery cannot be arranged within the specified period, we will temporarily restore them via the 3G/4G network. Guaranteed recovery of the telephone line: only valid for the Phone Line, ISDN-2 Standard or TWIN line. Call diversion: excluding marketing or special numbers.     The “estimated maximum speed” is the maximum speed that users can expect to achieve at different locations in the coverage area under realistic conditions. This maximum value results from measurements on the whole national territory and might vary depending on the device performance and your location during the use of the service. 5G being under deployment, the speed estimation is based on limited data.

  • Internet (data): if the customer surfing at reduced speed wants to continue surfing at maximum speed, it is possible to purchase a data boost option via Proximus+ or by contacting customer service.
    Normal and personal use of the Service by the Customer and unlimited use The service is conditioned to a personal, non-abusive use, with due diligent. As part of the unlimited offers, in Belgium and the EU Zone, Proximus therefore reserves the right to limit or suspend the service in the event of use in excess of more than 10,000 SMS/month or 500 SMS/day or sending SMS to more than 250 different recipients per month or in the event of regular calls of more than 6h/day and/or 30h/week. Regarding unlimited mobile data usage, they are subject to a reasonable usage policy. In Belgium and the EU zone*, the customer can surf up to 350 GB/month at maximum speed and then the speed is reduced (max 512 Kbps).
  • Business Mobile Flex Premium : Receive monthly extra 1 GB of mobile data for use in the United States, Canada and Switzerland and 1000 call minutes and 1000 text messages from the EU to these countries and vice versa, or between these three countries. The bundle is also valid for calls received in these three countries as well as calls and SMS from Belgium to other EU countries and Switzerland, Canada & USA. Once the units in the bundle are used up, the calls, SMS messages and the use of mobile data are billed at the price of the current Business Mobile Flex subscriptions.
  • Bizz Internet Guarantee : To benefit from this extra guarantee, you need a Business Flex as a professional customer. The operation of the product depends on the 4G coverage and the placement of the modem in the building. Apple TV 4K 128GB: When you select Apple TV as part of a pack, you are also entitled to an Android TV box at no extra cost.

Fixed Internet

Fiber Essential: the maximum usable speed is up to 500 Mbps in download and 500 Mbps in upload for all devices in the network together.

Customers with a mobile subscription or prepaid card are automatically given the option to make mobile payments.

This option allows you to purchase third-party services, such as a subscription to streaming services, a digital magazine, purchases on game consoles, e-books, parking or train tickets, paid applications in an app store, etc. The maximum value per transaction is €50.

Your purchases are linked to your mobile number and can be consulted in the usage section via the Proximus+ app.

The settlement of your purchases takes place together with the settlement of your Proximus products and services. The overview of your purchases is listed in the section “Details of your statement for third-party services”, which is added as an attachment to your Proximus bill or statement.

Your standard monthly budget is set at €100 and can be adjusted via the Proximus+ app to a minimum of €5 and a maximum of €250. You can also choose to deactivate or reactivate this option free of charge via the Proximus+ app.
