Looking further than the building

The construction sector is evolving rapidly. For BESIX, the challenge is to place real estate in a broad, innovative context. “Our sector is changing quickly. These days, as well as construction we are involved in many other real-estate related disciplines. From design and development to operation, maintenance and financing. So we can look much further than the construction of a building. And we can excel in creating sustainable solutions,” Bart explains.

What lessons have we learnt?

Having completed its first ‘smart’ projects, BESIX can take stock of a successful digital transformation:

• Surround yourself with specialists where necessary
• Ensure open communication across the disciplines.
