Emergency services put their trust in 4G from Proximus

The use of drones is on the rise. Over the next few years they will be deployed in various sectors. Drones are already being used to support our emergency services. Tersec has years of experience with this.

“We make sure that the people in command receive the camera images from the drone on site in real time. That way, they can always take an accurate decision based on real-time data. So a good mobile network is very important for us. Over the years, we have noticed that the Proximus 4G network is very reliable, even in difficult circumstances,” says Tersec CEO Tom De Jaeger.

In difficult circumstances, drones are the only option. “They can be deployed quickly and they are a lot cheaper. Ecologically it’s great too, because drones are far more environmentally friendly. We are mainly a training center. In Belgium, you are obliged to follow a training course and we give these courses, to teach people to fly drones, a little like a driving school,” says Elwin Van Herck, CEO of Noordzee Drones.

Proximus customers benefit from the best live streams

Live streaming with drones, Facetiming with your iPhone or holding video conversations with your mobile device – all this works best for Proximus customers. That is what recent measurements from the research firm OpenSignal show. Based on these measurements, Proximus 4G offers the fastest uploading speed and the fastest response times. These quality parameters are often underexposed, but they are extremely important for fast-growing mobile internet applications such as video conversations and live streaming.

Tersec develops and integrates emergency systems. They provide the drone feed and GPS coordinates in real time. This allows emergency services to respond more quickly and more efficiently, wherever they are.
