During the yearly Think NXT event, Kanaal Z interviews Antoine Van Brussel, Workplace Practice Lead at Proximus NXT, on how Proximus NXT is reshaping the digital workplace.
Antoine discusses the digital workplace and its role in improving employee well-being.
The digital workplace covers everything employees need to perform their work, such as laptops, smartphones, apps, and communication tools. But companies can struggle to keep up with employee expectations, especially as they demand more from teleworking and IT tools.
According to Antoine, the digital workplace must meet four key criteria: simplicity, intelligence, security, and sustainability. Simplicity means the workplace should be user-friendly for employees and easy to manage for IT departments. Intelligence involves automation and AI helping employees be more productive. Security concerns the protection of equipment, connectivity, applications, and data. Sustainability refers to reducing the ecological footprint through teleworking and less commuting.
Proximus NXT offers a service called Workplace as a Service (WPaaS), which relieves the IT department by managing some elements or the entire work environment, also helping with the shortage of IT professionals. This service handles all IT-related tasks, from receiving new computers to managing the helpdesk. This allows the client's IT department to focus more on their core activities. Proximus NXT differentiates itself in the market by not only focusing on cost reduction but also on the quality of service, to reduce complaints and escalations.
