To be able to maintain this exceptional service level, Peter Carbonez decided to switch to cloud applications: “On the advice of our Proximus partner, Vandenabeele, we went for Office 365 and Sharepoint. Now not only are e-mails and contacts shared with everyone but, above all, so are the planning processes and stock management. It’s a huge step forward.”
But switching to the cloud had other advantages for Carpal, as well, Peter continues: “We have had our smartphones integrated into our telephone exchange so that everyone can be reached easily. Our drivers no longer have to write out purchase orders. Everything is done instantly on a tablet. And in the cloud we avoid critical crashes. Thanks to our digital transformation, fewer errors occur and communication among our staff is much improved.”
