There are three cameras on the back of the Galaxy A7 (2018). The primary camera provides a resolution of 24 MP. When there is little ambient light, the device combines four pixels into one pixel, so that according to Samsung, you can take bright photos whatever the circumstances.
The main camera is assisted by a so-called depth lens of 5 MP. This creates a lovely bokeh effect on portrait photos, whereby the background is naturally blurred.
The third camera is again a wide-angle lens of 8 MP, intended for widescreen photography. With the same viewing angle as the human eye (120°), you capture precisely what you see yourself. A 24 MP selfie camera completes the whole.
For the screen, Samsung opted for a 6-inch large Infinity Display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. This aspect ratio offers more practicable room (in length) than a traditional 16:9 screen. The resolution is consequently somewhat higher than with a Full HD display (1,080 x 2,200 pixels) and the Super AMOLED technology also produces vibrant colors and a great contrast on this Samsung.
The design of the A7 is not all that striking, but the device is very solidly finished in aluminum and glass. One fun gimmick is the fingerprint sensor: for a change, this is not on the front or the back, but on the side of the phone.
The new Galaxy has a 2.2 GHz octa core processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage memory. This capacity can be expanded via a microSD card with a maximum of 512 GB. We also noted in particular the 3,300mAh battery and the support of the Dolby Atmos surround sound in certain films and series (when using earphones). The operating system in this Samsung is Android 8.0 Oreo.
The Galaxy A7 is available in black, blue and gold.
