Going on a business trip? These apps help you plan your trip and make sure that everything runs smoothly.
- Google Translate
A classic these days: Google Translate. This app will help you translate short sentences quickly from and to your mother tongue in over a hundred languages. The translations aren’t always perfect, but they are more than good enough to understand the person you are talking to. The app can also pronounce words for you.
- Gate Guru
In an unfamiliar airport, sometimes even experienced travelers have to look for the right gate, counter or coffee bar. Enter GateGuru. This app guides you unerringly through over two hundred international airports and shows you the way.
- Google Trips
The app automatically collects all your boarding passes and confirmation e-mails from hotels and rental companies and puts them together in one place. You can also download maps and routes to restaurants, museums or other points of interest in advance.
- Packpoint
Are you a man or a woman? Where are you going and what do you intend to do? With this information, Packpoint will make sure that you have everything you need in your suitcase. Unexpected snowfall in New York? The app will use the weather forecasts to warn you to take a warm jacket with you.
- XE Currency
How much is 47 baht in euros? Unless you sift through the exchange rates every day, that’s not an easy question. With XE Currency, it’s just a matter of pressing a few buttons to find the correct answer. If you enter the most recent exchange rate yourself, the app works off line, as well.
- Tip Calculator
How much should you tip at a restaurant in the US? For European travelers, this is a constant headache. With Tip Calculator, you enter the amount of your bill and how satisfied you were with the service. The right tip appears instantly, so that you can leave the restaurant without being frowned at.
- I am OK
The Proximus I am OK app reverses the roles. You press one button to let family, friends and colleagues know that everything is fine. The app posts a message with your location on Facebook and Twitter. You can also select a few contacts in advance. They receive a personal text.
- Proximus Wi-Fi Hotspots
If you are a Proximus customer, you can surf free of charge via our Wi-Fi Hotspots. The app automatically connects to over 1.3 million hotspots in Belgium and more than 20 million hotspots abroad. So you save even more on your roaming costs when you travel on business.
