Configure my Cloud Exchange Mail & Calendar mailbox
Before installing "Cloud Exchange Mail & Calendar", bear in mind the following:
Your operating system must be Windows XP, Service Pack 2 or recent
Go to "Start" then "Settings" followed by "Control Panel". Here, click the "System" icon. The following screen will be displayed:
Your Windows version is indicated in this screen. To use the "Cloud Exchange Mail & Calendar" solution, you need Windows XP, Service Pack 2 (or Service Pack 1, with hotfix Q331320 and 830355). For more information about Windows XP, please contact your software supplier.
You (or your administrator) must have created an "Cloud Exchange Mail & Calendar" mailbox on the Cloud Exchange platform.
If you see the "Desktop Outlook Setup" link under "Hosted Exchange 2007 Component", it means that you have an "Cloud Exchange Mail & Calendar" mailbox. If that is not the case, you must create an "Cloud Exchange Mail & Calendar" mailbox on the Cloud Exchange platform.
You must have "Microsoft Outlook 2007" to be able to use "Cloud Exchange Mail & Calendar". In case you do not have this software, you can download it from our administrator platform.
The "Download Outlook 2007" link can be found at the bottom of the page. Click the link and follow the instructions on how to install Outlook 2007 on your PC. (Select the .bat file instead of the .exe file)
Once all that has been done, you can start configuring your "Cloud Exchange Mail & Calendar" mailbox.
Click the "Download Executable" button. Then click "Save" to save the "profconf.exe" file onto your hard disk.
Next, open the "profconf.exe" on your hard disk.
Once this has been done and you open Outlook 2007, your mailbox will be configured. Outlook 2007 will automatically synchronize your mailbox, calendar, etc. with any data that may already be in your mailbox.
When this synchronization has finished you can start using Outlook 2007.
Remove the "profconf.exe" file from your hard disk.
