Name of the Wi-Fi network

Find back the name of your Wi-Fi network and change it. It will then be easier to recognize it in the list of available wireless networks.

  • Find back the original name of the Wi-Fi network on a sticker on the back of the modem (next to the word SSID) or in the configuration menu of the modem. This default name is rather technical (WiFi-2.4-12AB, bbox2-1a2b3c, etc.).
  • Change the name of the network as often as you want. You can choose a personalised name like your family name, the name of your enterprise, etc.

Your mobile, tablet or computer will no longer be able to connect to your Wi-Fi network once you have changed its name. Therefore, you will have to connect to your Wi-Fi network once again to be able to use it.
