What can you do with your website? Create your website, choose an alternative domain name, place a counter or a form online, etc.

Create your website

Create your website (in French or in Dutch). For this, you need the login and password of your Internet connection.

Choose one or several addresses for your website

The address of your Website has the default format http://users.skynet.be/login-of-your-internet-connection
In general, the login of your Internet connection has the following format: sky123456, bs123456 bk123456, am123456 or fb123456.

You can create or delete an alias for your website (in French or in Dutch), i.e. an alternative name to replace the login, e.g. http://users.skynet.be/your-website. The default address of your website remains accessible).

The alias created (your-website in the above example) can also be used to update your Web page using an FTP connection.

Change your password

It is possible to change the password of your website (in French or in Dutch). This password is separate from the password that you use for your Internet connection.

Control the properties and status of your website

The properties and status of your website (in French or in Dutch) can be checked at any time. You will find there your aliases and the counter of your website.

Upload your website

Your Web page must be placed on our server using an FTP program like FileZilla, in which you need to enter the following information:

• The default address of your website: users.skynet.be
• The server name
• Your login
• The password of your Internet connection

Counters and forms

You can place a counter and a form on your website using 2 CGI scripts that are currently running on our Web servers (CGI = Common Gateway Interface).

Counters displaying the number of visits

To place a counter, you need to follow these 2 steps:

1. Create a counter (in French or in Dutch)
   For this, you need the user name and password of your website.
2. Add a license (in French or in Dutch)
   To avoid the counter being used on another website, the pages need the authorization to use this counter.

Forms that visitors can fill in

A form allows the visitor to give feedback and generates a preformatted e-mail with data filled in. More information about online forms.
