What you need to know about recording on a video recorder (VHS tape) or DVD recorder
How do you record a TV program on your video or DVD recorder? That depends on the number of Scart inputs your recorder has (1 or 2):
Place your video or DVD recorder between the television and the decoder, as indicated in the cabling diagram. How you connect the cables will depend on the type of decoder you have:
On the V3 decoder below, there are no symbols on the on-off button.
On the V3B decoder below, the menu button is on the left of the navigation button.
On the V4 decoder below, the number and name of the channel are displayed on the front panel of the decoder. The menu button is on the right of the navigation button.
To record programs on your video or DVD recorder, you will need to use a Scart switch. It's very easy to record with a Scart switch, since you can let the devices operate independently of each other. You can buy a Scart switch in one of our points-of-sale.
Note that if you have a DVD player, you can connect it to the AV2 input. In that case, you will only need to press the AV2 button to play your DVD on the DVD player.
