Cycling fans are gradually waking up from their winter sleep. As a partner of all the Flemish classics, Proximus is close to the action.
A survey by Het Nieuwsblad revealed that most young people no longer stay at home for a cycle race. Of course, it's no longer necessary to do so, as you can follow every breakaway or sprint even when you're out and about. With Proximus you can follow the race on your tablet or smartphone via the app or on your PC/laptop via www.proximustv.be.
You can watch all those cycle races on www.proximustv.be/fr/cyclisme . Fed up with the commentator? Simply switch as quick as lightning to a different channel. And it goes without saying that you can also watch the races again or set up to record future broadcasts.
That could be useful if you find yourself standing beside the cycling route as a VIP, because on Proximustv.be we're giving away VIP tickets for the Flemish classics. For the occasion of the Ronde van Vlaanderen race, we even have a little extra something in store for our customers!
If you're keen on taking to the saddle yourself, you can this year, like previous years, ride along in the Proximus Cycling Challenges: these are 14 races following the tracks of the professionals.
And where there are professionals, there’s also professional support. That's why you can count on supplies, a repair service and sometimes also coaching from former professionals.
Johan Museeuw and Nico Mattan will be cycling along in the Proximus peloton in such Classics as the Omloop het Nieuwsblad and Ghent-Wevelgem. Interested in tailgating them? Register to take part on www.proximuscyclingchallenge.be.
On International Women's Day, which this year falls on 8 March, women can register free of charge to take part in the Ghent-Wevelgem Proximus Cycling Challenge. They can look forward to the company of Saartje Vandendriessche and the Madame Velo cycling enthusiasts. Spread the word!
Are you an amateur cyclist? Be sure to register to take part in a Proximus Cycling Challenge.
